1680D Cordura Nylon:

Our Cordura bags are made from heavy 480 GSM-weight 1680D nylon. This fabric is unmatched for abrasion resistance, water-resistant, easy to clean, and the tightest weave you can buy. Not all 1680D's are created equal. The 480 GSM stat is a critical quality benchmark.

Stitching:

Threads are the MOST important part of a bag. We use Tex-138 polyester thread which resists acids from your hands and other sources, and is also una?ected by UV rays from the sun (competitors use Nylon thread which fails in both of these areas). Our thread is made in the USA by American & Efird  no exceptions and there is simply no better thread available.

YKK Zippers

We use branded #10 YKK RC coil zippers, a specialty zipper made to survive over many years of use. Plus, we have designed zipper protection into our bag, adding a 12" leather strip to the lower bout which covers the zipper from scuffs and scratches.

Straps and Handles:

Each bag comes with a main handle as well as sling or backpack-style straps. Our straps are 2? wide and include rubberized strips on the underside that prevent the straps from sliding off your shoulder. The strap hardware is brass-plated steel, and all connection points are reinforced with both rivets and stitching to guarantee the straps do not break and do not deform the exterior of your case over time.

Rivets and Hardware:

We use brass plated steel rivets with a steel reinforcement washer for extra strength. Each rivet is set behind a line of 2mm stitching, which means that the rivet will not experience any weight or stress until the thread gives out. This technique distributes the weight of the instrument over a larger area than just a rivet and prolongs the life of your bag.
